There are a lot of questions about Kate Middleton right now, including what caused the “abdominal procedure” that will keep her out of action until after Easter. However, there is new information that royal fans will find interesting.

Reports indicate that the Princess of Wales’s first public event since her surgery has been set for June 8. On that date, Kate will oversee Trooping the Colour, one week before the big event.

The Household Division page states, “Trooping the Colour reviewed by Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales is identical to Trooping the Colour reviewed by His Majesty The King, with the exception that some additional mounted officers ride when His Majesty The King is present.”

“Taking part will be over 1,400 soldiers of the Household Division and The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery, including 400 musicians from the Massed Bands, all of whom will parade on Horse Guards for the second of two formal Reviews.”

Some people are worried that the general lack of information since the future Queen’s surgery is a sign of bad things to come. Providing a set date for Kate’s return to royal duties could help ease their minds.

Recently, there has been a lot of talk suggesting that Kate’s health is worse than the Palace has been saying. However, people were reassured that Kate was “doing well” in a statement from the Palace, which reiterated earlier claims that everything was going as planned with her recovery.

That being said, the public’s general lack of knowledge has left a void where rumors can often spread like wildfire. The fact that the Princess of Wales hadn’t been seen in person or in a picture since Christmas didn’t help matters. That is, until yesterday, when a picture of Kate was taken while she was outside of Windsor Castle in a car with her mother, Carole Middleton.

Before this picture was taken, Kate hadn’t been seen in public for 70 days. This absence fueled even more rumors, despite the Royal Family’s efforts over the past week to reassure royal fans that the Princess is just taking her time to recover, away from the cameras.

Let’s all wish Kate Middleton a speedy recovery. She’s on the mend, and a date has been set for her return to royal duties. This is great news for everyone who has been concerned about her health and well-being.
