Reports indicate that the Princess of Wales’s first public event since her surgery has been set for June 8. On that date, Kate will oversee Trooping the Colour, one week before the big event.
The Household Division page states, “Trooping the Colour reviewed by Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales is identical to Trooping the Colour reviewed by His Majesty The King, with the exception that some additional mounted officers ride when His Majesty The King is present.”
“Taking part will be over 1,400 soldiers of the Household Division and The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery, including 400 musicians from the Massed Bands, all of whom will parade on Horse Guards for the second of two formal Reviews.”
Some people are worried that the general lack of information since the future Queen’s surgery is a sign of bad things to come. Providing a set date for Kate’s return to royal duties could help ease their minds.

Before this picture was taken, Kate hadn’t been seen in public for 70 days. This absence fueled even more rumors, despite the Royal Family’s efforts over the past week to reassure royal fans that the Princess is just taking her time to recover, away from the cameras.
